Do you find it helpful to read a map of the forest before plunging into the trees? Do you find it beneficial to look at the box lid when assembling a jigsaw puzzle? Then you will no doubt benefit from God's Message To You, a six week introductory overview of the Bible.

The Bible is the world's best-selling book. In fact is the best-selling book of each year, and in 2005 sold nearly twice as many copies as Harry Potter. But the Bible, made up of 66 books that contain history, poetry, prophecy and genealogies, can also be difficult to understand. For six Monday nights, starting June 25 and ending July 30, we will be giving an overview of the entire Bible. We will discuss some of the key names and events and see where they fit into the overall picture. We will pass out helpful handouts with basic information on topics such as the books of the Bible (including how they are arranged), a map, God's promises and a New Testament overview (four simple categories). In short, we will give the general theme and message so it can be better understood.

We will meet from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Lawrence Branch Library meeting room (just north of Lawrence North High School, 7898 Hague Road - click here for a map). There will be a light dinner from 6:15 to 7:00 pm, and dessert will be provided.

The dates are:

June 14, 23, 30

July 14,21,38

We hope you can join us. Please call (317) 849-1565 if you have any questions.
